Since 1998, Tris Katone has been utilizing his solo career to experiment in new, dark and foreboding waters. With 1999's "Committing Suicide" and the controversial millennium release, "The Next Devil", he had proven himself worthy of his fan's praises with soaring record sales and steady radio station appearances. 2001 brought the hi-tek third release, "Plastic Udder", with a lengthy tour to follow up. "The Plastic Tour", with blistering band intact, was the hottest ticket in town through most of 2002, but a well deserved rest was finally at hand. KATONE's much anticipated fourth solo record titled, "Erotic Crystallization Inertia" was released October 2003, and a successful tour completed the package.

KATONE inked a distribution deal with Sanctuary Records Group in 2006 and within months embarked on a national radio station tour in which Tris often played live, on air acoustic sets. The “Making Waves” radio tour generated new fans and got Tris hungry for live performance. After two full years of writing and recording, as well as recovering from a severe vocal chord condition, Tris began holding auditions for a new road band, and a 2007 summer tour was planned. 46 shows throughout the United States and Canada went off without a hitch between June and September and KATONE left a lasting impression with an abundance of fans, new and old, who seemingly just could not get enough.

The return home from the successful summer tour was all but restful and KATONE was facing record company woes as his new label was on the verge of being sold, and the already staggered release date of his new Cd drifted further into the distance. Along with several other signed artists, KATONE's distribution deal with Sanctuary was officially void late last year, and Tris suddenly had time to get involved with some recording projects that he had been putting off. While spending the last months of 2007 into 2008 producing other band’s music, (The Making, Carnival Prophets) Tris found himself once again crossing paths with his previous independent label, Dainty Suicide Records. As a result, almost ten years to the month, the newly structured Dainty Suicide Records is re-releasing remastered versions of early KATONE Cds.

The newly remastered versions of “Plastic Udder” and “The Next Devil” sound remarkable and are already selling throughout several internet music stores and are also due out on Itunes and in stores summer 2008.

more to come..
